Director Kevin Smith and Ben Affleck have been friends for years, since Smith cast a young Ben in his 90’s hit Mallrats. In a recent interview however, Smith says Jennifer didn’t appreciate the good-natured ribbing he gave Affleck when he visited the set of Catch and Release, in which Smith co-starred with Garner.
According to Smith, “I was picking on Ben and making fun of him because I’ve known him for a really long time – I was talking smack – and Jennifer goes, ‘You know, if you keep saying stuff about him, I’m going to kick your (behind).’ And she could – I’ve seen Alias.”
